This is a challenge I made to myself to create a parabolic microphone out of parts from the Dollar Store and parts I had lying around.
The main dish is from a plastic mixing bowl. The handle is from a scrub brush. The frame is from a paper towel holder. I designed a simple amplifier that runs off a 9V battery and uses an electret element I harvested from a toy.
